Scientific support teams

Science within the laboratory is strengthened by access to technology and expertise in our support groups; Bioinformatics, Laboratory Support, Proteomics, Synthetic Biology and Tissue Culture & Transformation.

  • Bioinformatics

We work on projects ranging from genomics through bioinformatics and citizen science to evolutionary modelling.

  • Laboratory Support

We ensure the smooth running of the laboratory and provide numerous scientific services to the TSL research groups.

  • Proteomics

We work to understand signal transduction and plant immunity from a network biology perspective.

  • Synthetic Biology

We design and develop molecular tools to engineer genomes and produce novel functions in plant cells.

  • Tissue Culture & Transformation

We generate transgenic plants in a wide variety of species and cultivars for both model plants and crops.
