Postdoctoral Scientist
Camille Puginier

Bio
I’m a postdoctoral researcher in Nick Talbot’s group, studying lichen symbioses—mutualistic associations between fungi and photosynthetic partners, which can include green algae from the Chlorophyta phylum and/or cyanobacteria.
I completed my PhD in 2025 at the University of Toulouse, France. My doctoral research focused on uncovering the molecular mechanisms underlying lichenization in chlorophyte algae. To address this, I developed and applied integrative multi-omics approaches, combining phylogenomics, transcriptomics, and molecular biology.
