Berasategui Lab, The Sainsbury Laboratory (TSL), Norwich, United Kingdom

The Berasategui Lab at The Sainsbury Laboratory (TSL) in Norwich is seeking a motivated postdoctoral scientist to study how genome plasticity shapes the evolution of fungi with dual lifestyles, both as plant pathogens and insect mutualists.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the interface of evolutionary genomics, plant pathology and insect symbiosis, within a world-class research environment. You will interact closely with colleagues at TSL and across the Norwich Research Park, as well as with national and international collaborators. We value curiosity-driven, collaborative research and support the career development of early-career researchers. Teamwork and collaboration are central to the lab culture.

Applications will be reviewed from 16th November 2026 onwards and the position will remain open until a suitable candidate is selected.
