Bio

My research focuses on the molecular coevolution between plants and pathogens.

I'm particular interested in the evolution and diversity of plant immune receptors and their responses to pathogen avirulence (Avr) and effector proteins.

I am currently leading a research program on Xerophyte Immunity, investigating plant immunity in desert-adapted species to address challenges posed by climate change.
