Bio
I am interested in how plants detect pathogens and activate defence responses. My focus is on plant–microbe interactions, especially the early signalling events that shape immunity.
I enjoy combining molecular biology with basic bioinformatics to understand effector functions, receptor recognition, and defence gene regulation. I want to explore why some plants resist infection while others remain susceptible, and how these mechanisms can be used to improve crop resilience.
Ultimately, I hope to contribute to research that connects fundamental discoveries with practical solutions for sustainable agriculture.
