Ru Zhang

I am deeply fascinated by the mechanisms underlying plant–microbe interactions. For many years, my research has centred on fungal effector proteins and their role in manipulating host organisms. Now, as a visiting scientist in Tatsuya Nobori's group, I am excited to investigate the responses and functions of both plant and microbial cells from the novel perspective of single-cell analysis—a fresh and compelling challenge.
