Bio
As part of the Proteomics Group I specialise in targeted proteomics and use Selected Reaction Monitoring (SRM) to quantify post-translational modifications (e.g. phosphorylation, acetylation) of plant proteins following elicitation by pathogens. I am also part of the discovery platform used for the identification of the protein components of samples, including their post-translational modifications.
Other research interests include:
Plant cell walls and growth. Microtubules and secondary wall patterning. Root development. Leaf patterning. Starch metabolism.
