Postdoctoral Scientist
Nutthalak Laksanavilat
Bio
My doctoral research focused on rice blast disease, investigating the interaction between a Magnaporthe oryzae effector and an unconventional rice resistance gene, providing a strategy for developing blast resistance rice cultivars.
At TSL, my work centers on resistance gene networks in leafy vegetables, such as spinach and lettuce. I am particularly interested in unraveling the molecular mechanisms that govern NLR receptor networks, with the goal of developing approaches to enhance the resilience of vegetables.
