Horticultural Technician
Fernanda Navarro Aguad
Bio
I am originally from the south of Chile, where I trained as a biotechnologist and developed a strong foundation in cell biology and biochemistry. As a research assistant in Chile, I studied the molecular mechanisms of G protein-coupled receptor activation and its role in muscle differentiation. This experience motivated me to pursue a MSc programme at UNIST, South Korea, where I deepened my training in DNA molecular biology.
Over time, my research journey brought me to plant science by joining TSL as a technician, where I provide greenhouse support and management for Arabidopsis research. I am particularly interested in exploring how genetic engineering can be applied to plants and in understanding plant-microbe interactions, especially their impact on crop health and sustainable agriculture.
