Postdoctoral Scientist
Cynara Romero

Bio
Since my MSc internship at EMBRAPA-Soybean, (Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation) I developed an interest in studying the genetics and molecular mechanisms involved in plant-pathogen interactions. During my PhD I dedicated myself mainly to the identification of genetic factors conferring nonhost resistance in barley against non-adapted powdery mildew.
I recently joined the 2Blades group to work on the identification of new sources of resistance against Asian Soybean Rust.
