I am interested in understanding the molecular underpinnings of pathogen virulence, and host susceptibility and resistance. Uncover and understand factors and processes involved in pathogen-host interaction and host defence. How these factors interact at the molecular level to perform their individual roles. How to manipulate the genome of susceptible host plant species to confer resistance to existing and novel pathogens. I look forward to building on my laboratory and molecular pathology research knowledge and skills.
