Our group focuses on elucidating the molecular mechanism of plant denfense against pathogens. We use Arabidopsis as a model system to study the R (resistance) gene function upon activation of pathogen effectors. I am interested in how Pseudomonas syringae effector AvrRps4 recognized by TIR-NB-LRR pair RRS1 and RPS4; and how the AvrRps4 recognition mechanism is similar (or different) by additional TIR-NB-LRR pair RRS1B and RPS4B.
