I work on the biotrophic oomycete pathogen genus Albugo. I am particularly interested in the effector proteins produced by this pathogen and their host targets, as well as the mechanisms by which this pathogen is resisted by plants. In order to reveal the components of these systems, I apply and combine both modern genetic sequencing technologies and classical genetic mapping approaches.
