My primary research interest is in plant innate immunity. This immune response is triggered when plants perceive conserved microbial elicitors also called pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs). My aim is to exploit this layer of immunity to improve crop disease resistance.

Since 2007, I’m working as a post-doctoral scientist in the Sainsbury Laboratory where I joined several exciting research programs in the groups of John Rathjen, Cyril Zipfel and Jonathan Jones. I am principally using genetic, protein biochemistry and molecular biology to understand PAMP signalling pathways.

I recently joined the Zipfel lab to work on new PAMP receptors.
