I am interested in the molecular mechanisms underlying plant-microbe interactions and how to harness them to develop improved disease resistance in cultivated plants.

At TSL, I am focussing on understanding how integrated domains in plant NLR immune receptors interact with pathogen effectors. I will then use this knowledge to engineer new resistance specificities.
