The Sainsbury Laboratory offers a range of opportunities for postgraduate research into plant-microbe interactions. Students join a lively community in well-resourced research institution offering the best possible support including bespoke training.
Students register for a PhD (or occasionally an MSc by Research) at the nearby University of East Anglia (UEA).
Opportunities usually become available in the autumn with a deadline in November for entry in October of the following year. These include
- Norwich Research Park Biosciences Doctoral Training Partnership Studentships funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council
- The John Innes Centre & The Sainsbury Laboratory Rotation Programme in Plant and Microbial Sciences funded by the John Innes Foundation
- other internally or externally funded studentships as they become available
- places for self-funded students
